Tyrone James “T.J.”

Managing Partner

Our founder garnered his expertise while working as part of the state’s program management oversight (PMO) team in the wake of hurricane Katrina. Where he worked to administer through various assistance program portions of the $5.5 billion dollars of federal assistance awarded to the state of Mississippi. The work done ensure residents and public entities could recover from this disaster quickly and with integrity, while preventing fraud, waste and abuse.

TJ began his career at international accounting and consulting firm Deloitte and Touché LLP and then subsequently at a local Regional firm Horne LLP. He has over 15 years of providing external audits of federal grants and compliance and business consulting. He possesses a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Accounting from Tougaloo College (2006) and a Masters of Business Administration from Jackson State University (2007).

Jonathan Dungan

Executive Vice-President

Jonathan has an expansive career in public accounting at a local and Regional firm such as Horne LLP. He has over 10 years of providing external uniform guidance audits of federal grants and compliance and management consulting. He possesses a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Masters from Mississippi College.

Keno Simmons, SPHR

Director of Grant Writing & Management

Keno Simmons has a wealth of knowledge in grant writing and working with children and families. His career path has allowed him to serve more than 170,000 low-income children and families as the Program Manager for the Office of Head Start in Atlanta, GA. Before joining the Region IV Team, he served as the Supervisory Program Specialist for the OHS Region XI, American Indian Alaskan Native (AIAN) in Washington, DC, serving 150 Tribal Nations consisting of 23,000 children and families in 26 states.

He holds a bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Fort Lauderdale and a Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law from Tulane University School of Law. He is also a Registered Civil Mediator and Arbitrator. In addition, Keno holds both the SHRM-CP and PHR Certifications.

Nigel Weatherspoon

Senior Associate

Nigel Weatherspoon began his career as a summer intern in 2019. Upon graduating college, he joined as an associate performing accounting, external audits and government advisory. He concentrates on rendering audit services to multiple non-profit agencies, school districts, and health care organizations. Nigel has gained experience in analyzing clients’ financial reports and statements as well as performing various audit test-work on federal grants compliance under section 2 CFR Part 200 of the Uniform Guidance. He possesses a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Tougaloo College.
